See the Faces
Her eyes, a cool shade of hazel, stared blankly at the wall. She looks lost.. no peace and joy, just sadness and a deep need. A want for something real and better. They say that the eyes are the window to the soul, and in that moment I believe that was true. In that one glance, I could feel her pain and unrest. It took all that was in me to continue on with the procedure and not to stop and say, “before we continue let me tell you about my Jesus.” But all I could do was pray for her. Sometimes all you can do is smile, pray and have a kind spirit. Often actions speak louder than words. Sometimes what we do, makes more of an impact then what we say. He returned my greeting with a bitter, yet painful expression. I knew something was wrong. He later opened up about a beloved pet that was dying from cancer.
