Jesus IS the Answer..

Image
"When Life Seems to have no worth to you, When you have no one to turn to,  When you feel like your all alone, And don't know wheres home,  There's an answer behind every closed door, There's a place to call home.  Jesus is the answer.  Jesus will save you, With open arms He'll take you,  And mold you into the person, you were created to be. And no matter what happens,  With Jesus you'll be safe and secure,  Though the storms of your life will Roar, You are in His hands." ~Amy Cosgrove

His Masterpiece

Close your eyes with me if you will and picture in your imagination the heavenly courts of heaven.  You're standing, half kneeling in front of Jesus, with emeralds of gold shining in luminous light around the throne room. Through tears you see Jesus. Trembling, barely looking up to gaze into his eyes, you try to form the words that have been weighing on your heart for quite sometime. “I give them all to you,” You say. “I’m tired of keeping all my feelings in, trying to be strong on my own, I need you. I’m broken like shards of glass, every fiber of my being I give to you, all the pain, loneliness, suffering, happiness, sin, everything in my life. I lay all in your hands. I’m so unworthy of your love. Help me!” And even before you finish, as you lay crying, a crumpled mess on the floor, Jesus takes you in His arms with the most tender, caring hug ever. He holds you tight and says; “I’m here for you my child, I will never let you go. My grace is sufficient for you, for m...

Facing the Unknown...

Winter 2014: As the crisp wintery air brushes against my face, I kneel down on the cold snowy driveway, with glistening snow sparkling in the moonlight. With a song in my heart, I gaze up into the star filled sky. and pour out my heart to God. I always feel at peace and refreshed after a long hard day to take a "walk" with God in the evening, gazing at the sunset and watching the stars come out. This particular evening felt different. Change is in the air, something is going to happen soon a nd I won’t always be here . That thought brought tears to my eyes. Some how this place was too precious to leave. “ But I will always be with you, by your side.” A still small voice reminded me. With trembling hands, but peace in my heart, I go inside before the earth is clothed in darkness. Late Spring- Early Summer 2015: Our house was under contract! It all happened so fast. For many reasons I was thrilled, I loved the idea of being debt free, warmer weather for garde...

Nothing Alone

Image
Nothing alone can I bestow, there is no good in me. Jesus alone can make me whole, Jesus, He sets me free. All earthly pleasures they do allure me, but to my God I must stay true. Though thousands compass about me, my God will see me through. Jesus alone can satisfy my soul, Jesus alone can save me. He is home when tempest rages, a shelter in the storm. When I fall He picks me up and brings me to the fold, He takes my crimson garments and makes them whiter than snow. Although I am nothing, He is everything to me. Only Jesus can make me what  I’m supposed to be.    Jesus alone can change you, Jesus alone can save you.  He alone can satisfy your soul. Jesus will never fail you,  He can make you whiter than snow. So will you lay all at his feet today, not a moment delayed? For then you can say; Jesus is my Lord, my Savior, my king, my all. In God’s sight we are more precious than gold, because we are His children. You’r...

A Blessing in Disguise

With a nauseated feeling I stumble off the plane, “Why am I so sick?” I think to myself. Praying, I slowly made my way through the crowds of people in search of my connecting gate. Maybe it was because I was on a small plane and the landing was rough, or maybe it was something I ate. I just had the worst case of car/plane sickness that I could remember.   With a pulled hamstring, I painfully walked over to a vender to get some juice. “Hopefully this will make me feel better,” I say to myself. Making my way back, I stand in line as the airline officials prepare for boarding. A thought comes to mind, “When you’ve been car sick before you’ve sung songs and that has made you feel better.” As memories flash in my mind of previous times, I decide to give it a try. Three tall, grim, unhappy looking men, push in line in front of me. I smile weakly as I sip my juice and go to the side. “Maybe singing “Jesus loves me” will soften their hearts,” I think. As I sing, “Jesus Loves me” in E...
